I just installed an Oregon Aero BLSS kit to mt USUHS issued kevlar helmet. For much cheaper than a new style helmet the wraring can ameliorate the constant pain of the okd school helmet. This shows the way in which our exercise could be better funded. I know that there are many competing demands for funding, but at the premier military medical school we should at least be issued semi-modern equipment. In many ways the LBE beats wearing an IBA but perhaps the complete removal of leather sweatbanded helmets from the government's inventory is in order.
